Since the bands inception they have gone thru 3 drummers and attempted to add a 4th member on  3 different occasions, however at the core of "Sovereign Being" the inseparable union remains Chase & Jayel. The very 1st single " Bartender" the band recorded in Jayel's basement ( produced by the band)  featured the bands original drummer Kyle Ferchen on drums who laid down the tracks for "Bartender" at his house with no music, and forwarded the drum tracks  back over to Chase & Jayel who laid down the music in the basement.  Kyle was then followed by Chris Jackson, after him came Sylvester Williamson.  While Sylvester was with the band for the recording of "Dear Love", "Sugar Burn"  and "Water Falls", he left the band shortly after. John Casey then joined the band and played drums on the  recording of the next 3 singles " Aint Taking Me Long" , "Miracle" &  " Space Ships" and left the band shortly after that. Chase & Jayel without a drummer continued to write and create, composing "Joeys Song" upon hearing the news that former band guitarist Joey Tenenbaum had over dosed and passed away. They recorded the song in Chase's bedroom, where he also overdubbed the drums using The Alesis Midi Drum Kit.  After a discussion Sylvester rejoined the band, and the guys returned back to the studio under the watchful ear of the bands Producer/Engineer Marcus Davies to record the bands next single. Marcus  has been involved with the band since "Dear Love."  He did not record "Joeys Song" but Chase & Jayel  gave him the finished tracks whereby he did mix and master the song. With Sylvester back in the band they proceeded to record the next single "Face in My Phone"   which was followed up by the release of the bands debut album which includes two early singles " Miracle" &  "Sugar Burn".  The album contains a total of 11 songs which demonstrate the bands prowess songwriting ability and catchy grooves & meaningful lyrics coupled with  cosmic artistic expression, with songs like "The Weird One" & the title track " Sovereign Being" and "7 Sun Rays" these are the deep cuts.  

Sovereign Beings debut album "Sovereign Being"  provides  the listener  a unique listening experience. The flow of the album allows one to  seamlessly enjoy the album from beginning to end as the song structure flow is from the terrestrial to the sacred. The band hopes to soon have the album available on vinyl for an even more enjoyable listening experience, but for now the bands music is available on all digital platforms.

BRINGING IT CURRENT-

JANUARY 2025

Hello Beautiful people...  The color "Blue" was chozen for this font because you may get the "Blues" after reading it. So....Whats been going on with the Band you ask ??? Well, lets bring everything up to speed.... In March of 2024 the band was looking for another Bass Player so that Chase could switch to Keyboards and Guitar. This move would give the band the ability to reproduce in a "Live Show" more closely what you hear on the album, which at the time the finishing touches were being put in place. It turns out the guy could not play bass to the satisfaction of the Drummer, "Marty" ( which is important , being they are the rhythmic foundation)...the guy was actually a guitarist,so Chase decided to continue playing bass and the band would move this guy to guitar( by the way he could not play keys)...  Moving right along, the band was offered the opportunity to perform at the "Taste of Cincinnati" for the memorial day weekend festival.  Shortly after this the bands first full  album"Sovereign Being" was released 6/25/2024 which the guyz had been in the studio working on as a "Trio" since late 2023. Between the time right after the "Taste of Cincinnati" & the album release date the band fell off the rails, and parted ways.  This was a painful event which the odds say more than likely would not have occurred had they remained a "Trio"  (-Chase-Marty & Jayel-) ...Hence the intentional leaving out of the name of the added member.  This site was left alone and remained quite in hopes there would be a "Coming together"... after months, it has not happened.  

...The inseparable Union has Separated...

 In the meantime, the "SHOPIFY" store was added as well as "Two Music Videos" to support the album.  So which band member is continuing on with the "Sovereign Being" vision, legacy and goals....???   It is none other than "Jayel"... who has continued to write new music for the band and hopes to get back in the studio this summer and release more music for you to enjoy.  "Live shows" did you say ?...Well yes most certainly that is on the agenda, but of course beautiful people of quality musicianship are required to pull it off to the level it was previously , if not surpassing that level which  is a natural expectation. 

 All that can be said at this time is if you really dig Sovereign Beings Music, don't abandon, but  Stay tuned... !!!
